Here are some steps to help you in your faith journey
1. Continue attending church
The best way to start the week is by gathering with your church family to worship God, thank Him, and give and receive the love and encouragement from others.
Do not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
Read Acts 2:42-47 to see how followers of Jesus lived since the beginning.
2. Talk to God (aka Prayer)
God is your best friend and prayer is talking to God. Talk to Him often about everything. You can thank Him in your prayers, ask for things, pray for others, …
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
3. Read the Bible
The Bible is God’s word. It’s the main way He speaks to us. He also speaks through the Holy Spirit who whispers in our minds. The Holy Spirit will never contradict the Bible, that’s why is so important to know the Bible.
There are 31 chapters in the book of Proverbs. Read one chapter per day. In this book, you will find God’s wisdom for daily living
Also, read a portion of a Psalm every day. You will find in this book the person and the identity of God. Who He is, what He wants from us, etc…
4. Serve others
We serve God by serving people. Every time we do something for others, it’s as if we’re doing it for God. And when we serve we imitate Jesus
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Matthew 10:42
“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 – Your faith will grow as you read the Bible
5. Grow your faith and knowledge of God (Sign up to a Discipleship Class)
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 2:18
